Youth Theatre Project for 2010
A production of ALICE a play with new original music by Theo and adapted by Helena Gomm from the books by Lewis Carroll
- The production will involve all juniors and seniors, with many speaking and non speaking roles,
No one will be left out!.
- The production will be during Summer Half term week 31May -4June
- Performance dates: 2nd, 3rd and 4th June 2010
From February to the end of the production in June, there will be a flat fee of £20.00 per person involved in the production.
Background
The two Youth Theatre groups meet monthly; the seniors on a Wednesday evening
7.30-9 and the juniors on a Saturday morning 10-12.
When working towards a production the number if sessions will increase and groups will meet fortnightly. As well as having workshops led by trained members of the group, we bring in professional artists with special skills. Their contributions have included workshops on masks in theatre, stage fighting, circus skills and puppetry.

This term we will cover drama games, improvisation, movement, role play and acting skills, leading to short scenes from plays.
Cost: £1 annual membership and £3.00 per session

This new group will be a performance based workshop and will focus on skills needed for all aspects of theatre performance, including backstage work. It will be led by Mary, but there will be input from professionals in specialist areas.
Cost: £1 annual membership and £2.50 per session
