Blithe Spirit – Meet the cast – Charles Condomine ( Johnny Wayland Pratt )
Blithe Spirit is my first Noël Coward, and I couldn’t have asked for a sharper or more enjoyable introduction.
Charles Condomine is polished, dry, clever and almost entirely insufferable, which makes him enormous fun to play. He has the wonderful ability to behave appallingly and then explain it as if he is the only reasonable person in the room.
You probably shouldn’t like Charles — but somehow, against your better judgement, you do.
